MAINTENANCE.

Once installed, the stone must be cleaned and prepared to be sealed. A very important recommendation is that in order to keep the natural stone in good condition, it is necessary to use a sealant. The sealant is a product that prevents staining and wear of natural stone. We consider it necessary in the maintenance of coral. In the market there are two types of sealants for natural stone: The sealer 1) with highlighter: accentuates the colors and variations, darkens a bit the stone and gives it a little shine. 2) without highlighter, does not change the color / appearance of the stone. The choice is directly from the customer, according to your taste. The choice of any of them is decisive in the look of the stone, because it will change the appearance of the natural stone as one or the other treatment is applied.

Coral is a natural material and, as such, you have to take certain precautions when cleaning it. It is also necessary to avoid doing some things that can damage it, it is not a type of pavement that requires complex maintenance. You also have to be careful with the liquids spilled on it, it is advisable to clean as soon as possible if it has spilled, for example, red wine to prevent the stains from penetrating.

As a general rule, we do not recommend using too strong detergents or abrasive products to clean them because it could be irreparably damaged. Nor should ammonia or acidic products such as vinegar be used, as they could discolor it. The best to clean it? Water with soap and in case of water pressure.
