The quarry is located in Southern Burgenland Rechnitz City (District Oberwart), near the mountain "Geschriebenstein". Its size is approximately 7.5 ha. Since 1960, the quarry is an independent business unit.
The quarry has a platy structure. In surface mining lime-mica schist and noble greenschist be dismantled. The outstanding quality of the rocks is confirmed annually through a rigorous investigation by a "high frost-resistance certificate" according to ÖNORM B 3123rd In high season (spring to fall), the quarry employs 10 people, 5 of them all year.
